Why Bloomingdale is expanding its Fund-raising...
Our goal is to have one of the nicest parks in the county. We maintain an aggressive field maintenance program that includes fertilization, irrigation and clay repair. We have invested in Bermuda grass seed to thicken up some sparse areas and we have expanded our popular pitcher's practice area to 6 bays. We are currently raising funds to purchase a Lightning Prediction system for the park. When conditions indicate that lightning is probable, a signal is sent to horns which sound a warning to clear the area and seek shelter. 97% of the time when the alarm system us activated, lightning is visible within 15 to 30 minutes. An all-clear signal announces when it's safe to return to the area. The purchase of this system will help to ensure that all who visit and play at our park will be kept safe. Bloomingdale Little League is dedicated to building Character, Courage and Loyalty by providing a Fun, Safe and Respectful program for our community.
We have introduced our "new BLL gear " this year. Show your support by purchasing one of our car magnets for $5 or be a part of park history and show your pride with a 40th anniversary shirt available in a variety of sizes for only $10. These items can be previewed at any concession stand and purchased at the ticket booth in the main park or the concession stand located at the senior field.
New also are our "Team Spirit" events. These events are possible thanks to the support of our "Community Teammates". These local businesses help support your park by offering a percentage back on all BLL family purchases. If you have not already done so sign up for our newsletter "From the Dugout" these emails will keep you updated of all upcoming events as well as league updates. Stop by one of our three concession stands and view our newsboards as well.
